I really liked the end of my novel. near the end, things were getting really rough for Ty. His best friend and right hand man, Sonny, was shot and killed during a deal he put together all by himself. Ty has it in his head that it was his fault, if he knew about it he wouldn't have gotten killed. Also, Darkman tryed to kill Ty. right when Ty was better and out of the hospital, he set up Darkman and put him behind bars for a very long time. His mom hated what he did and so did Alyse. Ty liked Alyse a lot and would think of her all the time.

He finally realized at the end of the book that drug dealing is a dead end. It is great while your on top but it doesn't last forever. You either end up in jail like his own father, lose everyone close to you, or get killed. So he decided to get out the drug game, go back to school, get back on his mother good side , and got back with the 'love of his life', Alyse.

I would rate this book a 9 out of 10. I have only read a few books in my life time and this was definatlly on the top of the list.

The conflict in my book is between Ty and a new guy in town, his name is Darkman. Darkman is in the same situation as Ty. He from Miami, and his family are all big time drug dealers. He came to Brooklyn to start fresh but Ty is in his way. Through the book, Drakman attempts to take Ty's customers who report right back to Ty. Ty's father,Orlando, a letter from jail to come visit him as soon as possible. Orlando gave Ty a number that would get rid of this problem, a 'professional' as he puts it. Ty disagreed and said he could handle it himself.

One night while Ty is walking home from the gym, he was the target of a drive-by shooting and what hit in the stomach. He was in the hospital of a week and a few days and when he got out he wanted Drakman gone. He called his dads connection to get rid of him, once everything was ready and organized, there was a change of plans.

One of Darkmans employees and his girlfriend turned on him and wanted him gone as well. Ty and the other 2 from drakmans side met for a meeting. They all decided to set him up during a deal which would lock him up for a very long time. So that's what they did, there was a car chase and in the end, Darkman was all over the news and on his way to jail.

Do you think Ty handled himself thoughout the book, or do you think there could be things he should have done differently?

In my book, there is one main character, Tyrone Johnson, better known throughout the book as Ty. He lives with his mother in a not to shady hood in Brooklyn. When Ty was 14 years old his father was sent to jail and the "family business" was all his ever since. At the age of 14 he was a full out hustler as he refereed to himself. At the beginning of my book Ty was registered for school but never went because he was to busy making deliveries. He was kicked out because he was never there and that never went over well with his mother. His mom was a very caring women who never wanted her son to turn up like his father. She would never know what was going on because Ty was really good at smoothing things over and making it seem like he never does anything wrong. He is very smart at what he does and insists he will never get caught. He never makes deals with people who don't seem 'right' and always makes the right moves. He runs into a obstacle when Darkman comes to town to try and shut him down. he went to his father for advise, his dad said to get ride of him. Ty didn't want to just to that, he said it could cause a war out there between the families. He holds off but one day as he leaves the gym he was shot and the target of a drive by shooting.

By drug dealing, Ty is hurting his personal life more and more everyday. His mother hates it once she finds out. He is also in love with a girl named Alyse, the second she found out she didn't want anything to do with him and now he is on the verge of getting killed. But he still wont give it up, hes popular, money grows on trees and he loves what he does, that's the weakness.

Question
If you were in Ty's position, would you fight for your loved ones back or would the money and the fame to do almost what ever you want be enough?

The book i am reading is Street Pharm written by Allison van Diepen. Tyrone Johnson, a high school student, until he got kicked out for skipping classes almost everyday to hit the streets. His father,Orlando Johnson, was the biggest drug dealer it all of Brooklyn until he got locked up and left everything to Ty. Sonny, who was Orlando's right hand man and most trusted employee was now like Ty's brother. What ever went down they let eachother know. At the beggining of the book, Sonny called Ty to make a delivery but Ty didnt like the sound of it so he sent a kid named Michael Brown instead. Ended up the people mike was delivering to were police and he got brought in but never gave out any names. Ty and Sonny gave him a better price. Once Ty's mother found out he got kicked out of school, she flipped out and made his apply to another school called Les Chancellor Institute of Career Opportunities. He met a girl named Alyse who he really takes an interest in and she seems to see the same in him. Once he met he liked to go to school becuse he can be 'who ever he wants to be'. His everyday life is unpredictable and almost anything could go good or bad. Monfrey is like his snitch and they meet up a few times a week to talk about what is going on in the hood, Ty pays him will for his work.

Question:
As a father, they always want the best for their children. If you were in Orlando's Postition, would you give a business like that to your son at the age of 16.
